Who Am I?=I AM THAT I AM
I dedicate this blog to a few of my teacher's namely Eckhart Tolle, Anita Moorjani & Emmanuel Dagher.
I would like to begin with a short parable from Eckhart Tolle's book "The Power of Now"
A beggar had been sitting by the side of a road for over thirty years. One day a stranger walked by.
“Spare some change?” mumbled the beggar, mechanically holding out his old baseball cap.
“I have nothing to give you,” said the stranger. Then he asked: “What’s that you are sitting on?”
“Nothing,” replied the beggar. “Just an old box. I have been sitting on it for as long as I can remember.”
“Ever looked inside?” asked the stranger.
“No,” said the beggar. “What’s the point? There’s nothing in there.”
“Have a look inside,” insisted the stranger.
The beggar managed to pry open the lid. With astonishment, disbelief, and elation, he saw that the box was filled with gold.
The Moral of the Story
Eckhart Tolle says:
“I am that stranger who has nothing to give you and who is telling you to look inside. Not inside any box, as in the parable, but somewhere even closer: inside yourself.“
“Those who have not found their true wealth, which is the radiant joy of Being and the deep, unshakable peace that comes with it, are beggars, even if they have great material wealth. They are looking outside for scraps of pleasure or fulfillment, for validation, security, or love, while they have a treasure within that not only includes all those things but is infinitely greater than anything the world can offer.”
For those of us who have understood this and are on the path, for those who are wanting to be on this path and for those of you who are yet to understand it, Cheers!! Enlightenment is here & Now!!
As a human being, my only Big wish for each one of us is to truly experience and know who we truly are!! Yes, if we only knew who we truly are. It is then that we would stop living our lives of fear, anxiety & stress of being our parents best child, of pleasing the community one belongs to, of competing with each other- be it over our looks, by things we own, grades we strive for, jobs we do, promotions we get, prestige, fame, lifestyles, traditions & customs, religion & doctrines & more.
All this stressful hard work would look so miniscule & a waste of time & energy when on death bed, unless ofcourse our ego is stuck to dying a better death than our neighbour.
We strive to do our best all our lives, in name of comfort or the way things are or for changing the world for a better future!! But fail to see the amount of sickness we have stored in our cells along this journey apart from ruining nature & mother Earth in this process.
To change our focus & goal to truly live our own true self, we need to first know who we truly are!
The day we will recognise that we are powerful energy and spiritual beings and that everything else is just a part of ego, we would make better choices, not just for ourselves, but for planet Earth too. It is then by mere choice that we would make a 360° change in our own perspective of how our life should be led!!
And if we decide to rework on our life, we need to first start by working on our shadows & truly love ourselves- the magnified higher self. This works well with honesty towards our own self, courage & acceptance of our own shadows and will work towards our own benifit. But mind you, this requires a whole lot of effort than all the years spent in getting that good education from that recognised school or a college degree.
My only prayer is that, may each one of us make this decision today, to recognise our true self-(our higher magnified soul) and it's power to consciously bring about a change in our perspective on how to live our life and to vibrate on a new level to see a bright new beautiful world.
And if one can't change one's own perspective on self. How can we then talk of changing the World??!!
